Last Friday, I hoped my 2024 iX 50 was fine, but it wasn’t! On Wednesday, a yellow warning popped up on the display, and the steering effort changed. I took it to the dealership, and they cleared the fault, saying everything was fine. Two days later, I tried starting it, and the car wouldn’t turn on, 10 faults showed up. After calling roadside assistance and waiting two hours, the tow truck arrived, but the car started right up. BMW sent me an Uber to the dealer, and I had to miss a meeting. Now, they say the car is fine, but I have no confidence in it and am waiting to hear from BMW about getting a different car. The dealer’s explanation didn’t help, and I’m just hoping this doesn’t happen to anyone else..

While it's understandable that you're frustrated with the error codes and the dealership's lack of response, keep in mind that modern vehicles, particularly electric ones, are complex systems that can occasionally experience software glitches.

It's possible that you're dealing with a specific problem, such as a computer or steering rack, that others have solved. Maybe seeking assistance from a different dealership with more iX experience would result in a better outcome.

Keep in mind that it is not only about the problem itself, but also how it is addressed. I hope you can find a solution that works for you.

Yeah right, modern cars can be complicated, but the lack of clear communication has me worried. I’ll definitely consider reaching out to another dealership for more experienced help.
