Hello drivers! Have you noticed any strange behavior in your car's music player after the latest software update? I mean, before the update, I could see the list of tracks and easily select or skip songs using the wheel, now, after a few seconds, it goes to a full-screen player view, like it is a default mode. I don't let things annoy me too often. But this one is driving me crazy... Does anyone know if there is a way to revert this behavior or keep the track list view permanently? Thanks!

It sounds like BMW adjusted the default behavior of the music player with the update. The full-screen view can definitely be annoying if you’re used to the track list. I’ve been experimenting with the settings, but so far, I haven’t found a way to revert it. One tip is to use voice commands or shortcuts to navigate tracks faster. Hopefully, BMW rolls out an option to customize the view in the next software update. It might be worth leaving feedback with BMW, they’ve been responsive to customer input before!

Why not check your settings for media preferences or display options. You might be able to adjust it back to the track list.

It’s frustrating when an update changes a feature you rely on. This might be part of the new iDrive update that pushes more info to the main screen. Unfortunately, BMW doesn’t usually allow reverting to previous software versions. However, you might be able to tweak the behavior by going into your iDrive settings. Check under Media > Display Settings and see if there’s an option to adjust the default view. If not, leaving feedback through the ConnectedDrive portal might be worth a shot, BMW does sometimes tweak things based on user input.
