BMW iX Charging issue on road trip

During our drive from Atlanta to Colorado, we experienced reduced charging speeds after several stops. The BMW displayed a message saying, “Charging power reduced. Extended charging period,” and after visiting a dealership, we learned that if the car undergoes more than five fast charges in a short period, it limits charging power. This drastically extended our charging times, making long road trips nearly impossible. I’m very disappointed with BMW!!!!

Oh, wow! It is the first time hearing this. Is this something new in the EV space? Or was it there the whole time?

It seems like a recent issue with some EVs, including BMW. I hadn’t encountered it before either, unfortunately.
