Hi everyone, I’m configuring a new BMW iX and considering the cloth interior option this time (leaning toward the light grey/blue denim style). I’ve always opted for leather or faux leather in the past because they seem easier to clean and more resistant to stains from things like coffee spills (which I’m sadly prone to!).

For anyone who has the cloth interior, how does it hold up over time? Does it show wear, staining, or discoloration quickly? And how easy is it to clean up spills or dirt? I’d love to hear about your experiences, especially if you’ve gone with the lighter shades.

As someone with two kids, I can tell you the cloth interior holds up well, but you need to be proactive. I went with the light grey option, and while it’s beautiful, I had it treated with a stain-resistant spray before taking delivery. Crumbs, spills, and even muddy shoes clean up fine, but it does take a bit more effort than leather. If you love the look and are okay with occasional upkeep, it’s a fantastic choice.
